In the News: Falcon Cross Country November 12, 2018 For the third straight year in a row the Lady Falcons competed at the State cross country meet at National Trails Raceway Saturday. Our ladies gave it all they had Saturday becoming the 10th best team in the state of Ohio out of twenty teams. Leading the Falcons through the cold and muddy course was senior Mackenzie Davis, followed by senior Heather Lecrone, senior Monica Taylor, Junior Morgan Ruff, Sophomore Maddie Eyman, Junior Morgan Runkle, and Senior Dorothy King. Mackenzie Davis finished 25th out of 177 runners achieving all Ohio status. October 29, 2018 The Falcon cross country team had their regional meet this past Saturday at Pickerington North High School. The lady Falcons finished 3rd in the region out of 19 teams, qualifying for the state meet. The team missed out on being the district runner up by 1 point and missed being regional champions by just 8 points. Scoring for the ladies were Mackenzie Davis in 4th, Heather Lecrone in 16th , Madison Eyman in 26th, Morgan Ruff in 28th and Monica Taylor in 42nd place. The Falcon ladies are very eager to compete this coming Saturday at the state meet and show off all the hard work they have put in since the beginning of the season. The state cross country meet will be held at the National Trails Race Way. The team will be running at 2:15 pm. The boys team placed 14th in the region out of 22 teams concluding their season. Leading the boys were Trent Smith in 71st, Trevor Hartman in 98th , Jax Kovatch in 99th, Ben Johns in 106th, and Drew Hurst in 109th place. October 22, 2018 The Falcon cross country teams had another great day at the district meet. The Falcon ladies won the meet and had 5 runners in the top 8 places on Saturday at Rio Grande University! Leading the girls to a district victory against 17 total teams were Mackenzie Davis, Heather Lecrone, and Maddie Eyman. Mackenzie was the overall girls district champion with a winning time of 19:52 . This victory also marks the Falcon ladies 3rd straight victory at the district meet. The Falcon boys also had a good day coming in 5th out of 28 teams. Leading the boys were Trent Smith, Ben Johns, and Mark Euler. Both the boys and girls teams qualified to move onto the regional meet this Saturday at Pickerington North High school. October 15, 2018 On Sat. 10/6 the RMS Falcons competed at the Johnstown Harrier Classic. The girls were led by Taylor Rife, Carly Hanks, and Andrea Phillips. The Boys finished 7th out of 14 teams led by individual runner up Ronnie Rowley. Mason Taylor, Josh Bell, Marcus Runkle, and Joey Bell rounded out the scoring for the Falcons.
On Saturday the Falcons traveled to Circleville to compete in the MSL Buckeye XC Championships in their final meet of the season. At the end of the day, the Boys returned as Champions and although the girls did not have enough runners to score as a team, they all placed in the top 12.
The Boys were paced by individual champion Ronnie Rowley, Mason Taylor (4), Josh Bell (7), Marcus Runkle (8), and Joey Bell (27). The girls were led by Taylor Rife (3), Andrea Phillips (11), and Carly Hanks (12)
The Fairfield Union Falcon Cross Country team had a wonderful weekend at the Mid State League meet this past Saturday at Circleville High School. Coming in first place out of seven teams to win the MSL were our Lady Falcons. Leading the ladies to an MSL victory was Heather Lecrone who finish first making her the MSL girls champion. Close behind Heather were Mackenzie Davis, Maddison Eyman and Monica Taylor. These ladies were earned first team MSL. Morgan Ruff and Morgan Runkle, earned second team MSL and Dorothy King earning honorable mention. On the boy’s side, leading the team to second place finish out of eight teams becoming MSL runner up were Trent Smith, Ben Johns, and Jax Kovatch. Trent Smith earned first team MSL. Ben Johns, Jax Kovatch, and Mark Euler earned second team MSL. While Drew Hurst, Brock Wagner and Trevor Hartman earned honorable mention. The Falcons leave the Mid State League meet happy and eager to race again in the District meet this Saturday at Rio Grande University. October 4, 2018 Congratulations to the men’s cross country team for finishing 9th out of 23 all division teams. The Falcons were led by Trent Smith,Brock Wagner and Mark Euler.
The Lady Falcons were led by Morgan Runkle, Dorothy King and Jeralyn Strawn to a 13th finish out of 24 all division teams.
The Falcons next competition is at Johnstown this Saturday.
While team scores were not kept at the Backwoods 2 miler, the RMS Falcons ran outstanding races led by those who set personal best times including Carly Hanks, Andrea Phillips, Ronnie Rowley, Marcus Runkle, and Joey Bashore.
The team will compete at the Johnstown Harrier Classic and Saturday. October 1, 2018 Pickerington North Cross Country Invitational Meet:
The Falcons competed this past Saturday at the Pickerington North Cross-Country Invitational. The Falcon Ladies battled it out to the end taking second place out of seventeen teams. Leading the ladies were Heather Lecrone, Mackenzie Davis and Morgan Ruff. On the boy’s side, the Falcons finished sixth out of twenty-one teams. Leading the boys were Trent Smith, Ben Johns, and Mark Euler. The Falcons next meet will be this Wednesday at the Backwoods 2 mile Invitational.
Taylor Rife (4th ), Andrea Phillips (9th ), and Carly Hanks (14th ) led the RMS Lady Falcons to an impressive finish in the field of 195 runners at the Pickerington North - Panther Invitational.
The boys were paced by Ronnie Rowley (12th ), Mason Taylor (59th ), and Josh Bell (85th ) to help the boys finish 16th overall.
Both teams will compete at the Backwoods 2 miler on Weds. September 24, 2018 The Falcon Ladies had a successful Saturday at the Bob Reall Invitational Cross-Country meet. Lead by Mackenzie Davis who finished in second , Monica Taylor in fifth, Madison Eyman in sixth, and Morgan Ruff in eighth place. With these four ladies in the top ten along with the rest of the teams help they took first place beating eleven other teams. The boys also had a great race day finishing in third place out of a total of fifteen teams. This is a great accomplishment as this is the highest place the boys team has finished at the Bob Reall Invitational. Leading the boys were Trent Smith, Ben Johns, and Mark Euler who were in the top twenty-five . The Falcons next meet will be this Saturday at the Pickerington North Invitational.
On Saturday, The Lady Falcons of RMS placed 3 girls in the top half of the field of 68 runners including Taylor Rife (21st), Andrea Phillips (27th), and Carly Hanks (28th)
At Saturday's Bob Reall Invitational the boys were led by Mason Taylor, Josh Bell, Joey Bell, and Joey Bashore. September 17, 2018 The Falcons competed at Three Creeks Metro Park Saturday in the grueling heat. Leading the boys in the varsity race were Trent Smith, Drew Hurst, and Trevor Hartman; the varsity team took third out of twelve teams. In the boys JV race Evan Myers took the lead and kept it with Robert Hoover following close behind. The Falcon girls had a good meet despite the sweltering heat. Leading the girls with a one, two, three punch in the varsity race were Mackenzie Davis, Madison Eyman and Heather Lecrone. For the JV race Kaylee Miller, Morgan Runkle and Elise Conrad finished first, second, and third. The Falcon varsity and JV girls teams finished in first place. The next cross-country race for the Falcons will be Saturday the 19th at Lancaster High School at 11 AM. September 13, 2018 The RMS Falcons finished 4th out of 10 teams last night at the Nelsonville York Invitational led by Ronnie Rowley (3rd), Mason Taylor (9th), Marcus Runkle (13th), and Josh Bell (15th) out of 93 runners. Rounding out the scoring was Joey Bell (73rd) and Joe Brymer-Bashore (78th)
The Lady Falcons were paced by top 5 finishers Taylor Rife (3rd) and Carly Hanks (4th). Finishing in the top half of the field of 76 runners were Andrea Phillips (30th) and Sarah Eyman (33rd).
Both teams will compete in the Central Ohio Cross Country Invitational on Saturday September 5, 2018 Falcon Invitational
10 teams braved the heat last night at the Falcon Invitational cross country meet. The boys team finished 2nd , led by Trent Smith who finished 2ndfollowed by Mark Euler in 8th place and Jax Kovatch in 12th.
The girls team had another first place finish with Mackenzie Davis pulling out a second place finish. She was helped out by Madison Eyman in 4th place and Morgan Ruff finishing 6th out of 84 runners. September 4, 2018 The Falcon cross country teams had a good day at the Circleville Kiwanis Invitational. The girls finished at the top out of twenty teams. Leading the Falcon ladies to a victory was Mackenzie Davis with a first-place finish, and close by with a fifth and sixth place finish were Morgan Ruff and Madison Eyman. The boys raced well too, as they finished in ninth place out of twenty-five teams with Ben Johns leading the pack and Brock Wagner and Trevor Hartman following . The Falcons will compete Tuesday at home in the Falcon Invitational at 5pm. August 30, 2018 The Cross Country team competed at the Canal Winchester Invitational last night. The boys team finished fifth place out of sixteen teams, led by Brock Wagner with a time of 18:25, Ben Johns with a time of 18:28 and Mark Euler with a 18:41.
The girls team had an eighth place finish out of 16 teams and were led by runners Jerlyn and Jaclyn Strawn and Kaylee Miller. The top three girls finishing with times of 23:25, 23:27, and 23:35.
The next race will be Saturday at Circleville High School. August 25, 2018 The Falcon cross country team had a great meet on Saturday at the Newark Catholic Invitational. Girls varsity taking the spotlight by placing first out of nineteen teams. The team was lead by our seniors Mackenzie Davis and Heather Lecrone placing second and third. The boys took a fifth-place finish among twenty-one teams. Leading our boys to a respectable finish were Trent Smith in sixteenth place and Ben Johns in twenty-ninth place. The Falcons will compete at the Canal Winchester Invitational this Wednesday at 5pm.
August 21, 2018 The first meet for the Falcons was the New Albany Cross Country Invitational. The boys started the season out finishing 3rd among 10 teams. Leading the boys through some tough competition were Trent Smith and Mark Euler. The girls team started the race strong with Heather Lecrone and Mackenzie Davis leading the pack, but as they approached 1000m to go, the race was stopped due to an approaching storm. The Falcon girls and boys are eager to compete in the Newark Catholic Invitational at the Bryn Du Mansion this Saturday at 9am!
The RMS Falcon XC team traveled to the New Albany Invitational to open the season on Monday. Leading the way for the Girls Team was Taylor Rife (31st ), Carley Hanks (39th), Andrea Phillips (71st), and Sarah Eyman (85th).
The boys were led by Josh Bell (34th), Mason Taylor (57th), and Joe Bell (124th).
BIO: Rob Myers is a Fairfield Union graduate and is in his 4th year as head coach for Falcon Cross Country. Over the last 3 years we have sent 4 individuals to the State Meet and are shooting for a team appearance. During high school Rob won State titles in Cross country, the 1600m and 800m. Rob competed in 2 US Olympic Trials, 3 World Championships and 13 US Championship meets. He was a 3-time national champion in the 1500m /mile, was a collegiate All American in track and field, a 2 time Big Ten Champion and Big Ten freshmen of the year. Rob won the Golden West 800m high school national title.
